Cartetto Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026 (before the first release)
These terms are an agreement between you, the Shopify merchant who installs Cartetto ("you"), and Vitalcore Research Inc., doing business as Nolarine, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("we", "us"). By installing or using Cartetto ("the App") you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't install the App.
1. What the App does
The App adds a cart drawer to your online store through a Shopify app embed, with a progress bar toward goals you set (free shipping, a free gift or an amount or percentage off), upsells you choose, a discount-code field, an order note and an optional terms checkbox. It creates Shopify discounts that give the rewards and, if you keep it on, a Shopify checkout check that stops a gift that is no longer free. It shows you results per offer and a comparison with your theme's own cart. The App sends no emails. Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment providers. We are not a payment processor or bank, we never hold your or your customers' money, and we are not a party to your sales.
2. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your store, your offers and your sales, including:
- Your offers: the goals, gifts, discounts and upsells you set up, their prices, how they combine with your other discounts and codes, and checking them in the App's preview and on your store before you press Go live and after every change.
- Complying with the laws that apply to you in every place you sell, including consumer protection, pricing, promotion, distance-selling, tax and privacy laws. For example, if you use the terms checkbox, you decide whether it meets your legal needs: it applies only to the drawer's checkout button, as the App's help explains, and Shopify's own checkout settings are the place for terms that must cover every checkout.
- Stock for the gifts and products you offer.
- Telling your customers, in your store's privacy notice and cookie settings, about the App's web pixel if the law where you sell requires it.
- Decisions about refunds, cancellations and disputes, and any losses from your offers, including discounts or gifts given because of settings you chose.
- Keeping the information you enter in the App accurate.
You must not use the App for anything Shopify's terms don't allow, for misleading offers (for example invented urgency or stock), or for anything illegal.
3. Shopify and your theme
The App runs on Shopify and depends on Shopify's services, APIs and rules, including Shopify's limits on discounts (a store can have a limited number of automatic discounts active, and the App uses one or more of them, as its help says). Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's own terms. We are not responsible for Shopify's services, outages, decisions or changes, including changes that affect what the App can do. The App works through an app embed and never edits your theme's code; themes differ, so check the drawer on your own theme and devices before going live. Themes or other apps that change the cart can affect the drawer.
4. Plans, fees and trials
- Paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice through Shopify's billing system. Prices are shown in the App and on our App Store listing.
- We never charge a fee or commission on your sales, and the price does not depend on your number of orders.
- Paid plans include a free trial as stated on the listing. Each store gets one free trial; reinstalling the App continues the same trial rather than starting a new one. You can switch plans at any time on the App's Plan page. To cancel, uninstall the App (Shopify admin, Settings, Apps, Cartetto, Uninstall); Shopify then stops billing for it. The App's Plan page explains how, and its "Before you uninstall" page says what to do first.
- Without an active plan, the drawer stops showing and your theme's cart returns. Gifts already in carts stay free for 72 hours if their cart still meets the goal; after that the App turns its discount off.
- Fees are not refundable except where the law requires or Shopify's billing rules provide otherwise.
- If we change our prices, your current subscription keeps its price; new prices apply only to new subscriptions. We announce price changes in the App at least 30 days ahead.
5. Data and privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Cartetto Privacy Policy. The App is built to hold no personal information about your shoppers; for the order numbers it keeps you are the controller and we process them on your behalf to provide the App. You are responsible for your own privacy notice to your customers.
6. Availability and support
We work to keep the App running and to fix problems promptly, but the App is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it works with every theme or app, or that results and comparisons predict future sales. If the drawer can't open, the App is designed to hand the shopper to your theme's cart page. We provide support by email at support@nolarine.com.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, sales, data or goodwill.
- We are not liable for the acts or omissions of Shopify, payment providers, other service providers, other apps, your theme or your customers.
- We are not liable for discounts, gifts or free shipping given or not given because of the settings you chose, how your discounts combine, discounts you change in Shopify outside the App, or carts and checkouts that do not pass through the drawer.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the fees you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
8. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your store, your sales, your offers, your policies, your use of the App, or your breach of these terms or the law.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Before you do, the App's "Before you uninstall" page explains how to end your offers so gifts leave active carts, and how to set your theme's cart back to a drawer. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or misuse the App, or if we stop offering the App, with reasonable notice where possible. Sections 2, 7, 8 and 10 survive.
10. General
- Governing law: the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
- We may update these terms. We will post changes here and notify you in the App; continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.
- If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the App.
